A quick look at the 'successful projects' page on any platform will reinforce this as you browse some of the great ideas that crowdfunding has made a reality. However digging a bit deeper it is also quite interesting to (where possible) take a look at those projects that failed to secure funding from the crowd and query why they weren't successful.
